New Baden man injured in Quincy motorcycle crash

QUINCY, ILL. -- A motorcycle vs. car crash in Quincy injured a New Baden, Ill. man Saturday.

Quincy police say Alex Heckenkemper was traveling westbound on Broadway from 38th St., when a driver heading eastbound tried to turn into Dollar Tree and struck him.

Heckenkemper was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Blessing Hospital with leg injuries.

The driver of the car, Darryl Bailey, of Quincy, was cited for failure to yield a left turn.
