A Quincy man is going to prison for seven years after admitting to cooking methamphetamines with a child at home.

Wednesday 48-year-old David Day pleaded guilty to two felony charges of making methamphetamines and aggravated driving under the influence.

In September Day and another woman were arrested at a home on Chestnut street in Quincy after police served a search warrant and found the active methamphetamines lab.

A baby was in the home at the time and was taken into protective custody.
