KEOKUK, IOWA -- A 24-year-old Keokuk man has been found guilty of killing his mother last August.
Tri-States Public Radio reports that Adam Pitman was on trial for choking his mother, Rosa Pitman, to death in her home on Concert Street.
Pitman could get a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The jury of seven men and five women received the case at about 3:15 Monday afternoon. They deliberated for about 60 minutes, then delivered the unanimous verdict.
