KEOKUK, IOWA -- A Keokuk woman was taken to Blessing Hospital after a Saturday night accident near Hamilton in Hancock County.

Alexis Runge, 23, was southbound at about 6:10 p.m. on County Road 900E when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree, the Hancock County Sheriff's Department said.

Runge was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

She was ticketed for failure to wear a seat belt.

Assisting were the Hamilton Fire Department, Hancock County EMS and AirEvac.
