It was a packed house for the Trades, Labor and Machinists Union 25th Annual Labor Day Picnic in Quincy Monday. Around a thousand people including union members, current and retired, and their families celebrated the holiday at the Machinists Lodge 822 on North 5th Street.

One of the biggest Labor Day parades in the Tri-States rolled through Keokuk's Main Street this afternoon. This year's parade drew in 100 entries including floats, bands and dignitaries.

Thousands of people are expected to join in the Labor Day festivities in Bethel, Missouri this weekend. Locals are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the World Sheep and Fiber Arts Festival. Dozens of kids were participated in the mutton busting, testing their time riding on the back of wild sheep.
