For the third year, Quincy's Turner Hall rocked out to help make Christmas brighter for children a part of the "Make a Merry Christmas" campaign. The event sponsored by the Quincy Public School Transportation Department aims to select less fortunate families from each of Quincy's public schools and then make their Christmas brighter by delivering a school bus full of goodies to that family's home.

Christian concert to benefit women's shelters

Local women's shelters need your help to raise awareness and resources for families in need, and they say there's a fun weekend of activities ahead to do it. The Madonna House and Quanada are teaming up for the third annual "Back on Her Feet Walk" coming up on Saturday, April 9. Area walkers and supporters are encouraged to create teams to raise money and food for the two women's shelters.
