Monday, January 24, 2011  Quincy City Council heard the first reading of an ordinance to renew franchise agreement with Ameren Illinois.

Tuesday, January 18, 2011  The city of Quincy's finance committee will take a proposal for a 10-year franchise agreement renewal with Ameren Illinois to the full Council next Monday. The city is coming off of a 50-year franchise agreement that expired in September. Director of Administrative Services Gary Sparks said they've been in negotiations with the utility company now for several months.
