Sharing the cost of crossing guards for the Quincy School District remains a hot topic for the school board. It held a special meeting Saturday top discuss the issue. Recently, the city of Quincy notified the board it would no longer be able to foot the entire bill for all of its crossing guards. This came as a surprise to the board who hasn't set aside any of its budget for this.

Anthony Todd Saxon, 34, was charged with impersonating an Army master sergeant and stealing the infrared laser targeting sight after he was caught on the east Georgia base with a land mine, several grenades and night vision devices, prosecutors said.
