  • Report: Erosion caused Lake Delhi dam failure

    Saturday, November 20, 2010  A preliminary report from an independent panel of engineers finds the Lake Delhi dam in northeastern Iowa likely breached earlier this year because of internal erosion in an earthen embankment after two days of heavy July rain. The Des Moines Register reports the draft engineering report was released late Friday by the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
