Thursday, February 26, 2009  A local teacher found herself at the head of the class on Thursday.Mrs. Sara Ramsey teaches junior high science and social studies at Southeastern Jr./Sr. High School. KHQA's Rajah Maples visited her classroom after surprising her with this month's KHQA Excellent Educator award. Mrs. Sara Ramsey has taught for give years in the Southeastern School District. She started out teaching third grade but eventually found her calling teaching junior high science and social studies.

Wednesday, August 08, 2007  An Iowa man on death row for murdering two girls in a western Illinois shooting spree has been sentenced to another 60 years in prison. Daniel Ramsey of Keokuk was sentenced Tuesday on charges of attempting to kill another girl and two toddlers in the 1996 shootings.
