HAMBURG, IL (AP) -- Authorities in western Illinois are investigating the deaths of four adults whose bodies were found over the weekend on a houseboat along the Mississippi River.

Calhoun County Sheriff Bill Heffington is also the county coroner, and he says the bodies were found Sunday afternoon on a boat near an island just north of the village of Hamburg. Heffington says there were no marks on the bodies that indicated foul play.

Autopsies are planned.

The names of the dead haven't been released.

Hamburg is about 50 miles northwest of St. Louis.
