Mayor John Spring welcomed a new business to Quincy.
Nautel Limited specializes in making and selling transmitters for radio stations.
In October the company announced that it would open a new call center in Quincy.
On Thursday Mayor John Spring cut the ribbon on that facility which is located on the first floor of the Quincy Business and Technology Center.
The center will initially employ 4 people.
We asked CEO Peter Conlon the how, despite a struggling economy, they were able to announce such good news.
He says the company looks at this as an opportunity to expand and grow, push harder and make new products.
This is Nautel's first new facility in 34 years.
The company originated in Canada, where it still has it's headquarters.
It also has a location in Bangor, Maine.
