FT. MADISON, IA. -- There is some good economic news for Fort Madison. The following news release was received on Tuesday, December 16, 2008:
John Mason, owner and operator of Angelini’s Pizza in Keokuk would like to announce the opening of a second Angelini’s Pizza in Ft. Madison. Mason says he has been looking at buildings in Ft. Madison for about a year, “I have looked at several buildings in the area, but the location I selected, the old Breadeaux Pizza building at 2312 Avenue L, just seemed like a perfect fit for us.”
Angelini’s-Ft. Madison opened for business on Tuesday, November 25th and has been running at full speed ever since. Mason also says, “Business in Ft. Madison has been amazing, the community has given us a great welcome and immense support. We have seen large numbers of repeat customers already, and a lot of those customers tell us that they are telling their friends about us. I can’t thank them enough. I would also like to mention that we have had some issues with our phone and internet services that may have caused some people to be unable to place phone orders in the past two weeks. I believe that, as of today, those issues have been resolved. I apologize to everyone who has tried to order and couldn’t, and would definitely encourage them to try again. Our phone number is 319-372-4004.”
Angelini’s currently employs 8 people and will probably be hiring a few more in the future. “I have found some wonderful employees here in Ft. Madison and have an abundance of applicants. As our sales volume increases, and I am very confident that it will, I will be happy to be adding to the existing staff,” says Mason.
Angelini’s-Keokuk has always been a proud supporter of the area youth and various youth groups, and John plans to operate the same way in Ft. Madison. “I would love the opportunity to help any group or organization that needs to raise some money and is willing to sell some pizzas. Right now in Ft. Madison, the Girls Volleyball Club is having a ticket drive to raise money for uniforms and equipment. I encourage the community to help these girls out by purchasing a $10 ticket for a medium pizza. This is a great way to give us a try and help support the girls and the school,” said Mason.
The business is open 7 days a week. Monday thru Friday Angelini’s opens at 10 a.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the day starts at 3:30 p.m. However, according to John and his staff, “we will come in at almost any time of the day or night to accommodate a large pizza order. There have been several times when I have delivered to Pinnacle at midnite. We also make Take ‘N’ Bake pizzas that are cooked in your own oven at home, and they are great too.”
