3 counts of involuntary manslaughter

An Alabama man has been charged with three counts of involuntary manslaughter in a fatal July pileup in suburban St. Louis.
The crash killed three people, including 88-year-old Alvin Mast of Kahoka, and 55-year-old Lydia Miller of Canton.
15 others were hurt in the accident that witnesses say crushed some cars beyond recognition.
Jeffrey Knight of Muscle Shoals, Alabama is being held at the St. Louis County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond
Officials say the 49-year-old trucker barreled into at least a dozen cars before stopping on the highway with an automobile lodged under the front end of the tractor trailer.
