Quincy, Ill.--  A Camp Point mom received her bundle of joy just in time for Mother's Day.

Lacey Peterson gave birth to her son Caleb after midnight on Saturday. Caleb weighs 9 pounds, 7 ounces and is 21 inches long.

He was supposed to be born about a week ago, but he waited for this very day, making the Peterson families Mother's Day a very special one.

"It's incredibly special. A baby is always a blessing no matter when it comes, but there's always that joy and pride you take on mother's day when you have a child, especially your 2nd child. You get the joy of looking at him become the older brother and the excitement for him also,"said Lacey Peterson.

The Peterson's have a 3-year-old son Cole who is excited to be a big brother.
