Work is now moving along on the Highway 36 project.

Crews are now working to complete the West bound section of highway between Shelbina and Monroe City.

Friday was the first day it was dry enough for crews to begin laying pavement here.

Supervisors say the wet weather this spring is really slowing things down.

MODOT officials say you should be able to drive on the four-laned section of Highway 36 by this fall.

The entire stretch from Hannibal to Macon should be completed by July of next year.
