Quincy, IL -- Citizens are taking their concerns about a night club in Quincy to the city.

A few weeks ago we introduced you to some neighbors who live around the Casino Starlite at 20th and Cedar.

Their concerns are mainly between the hours of 1a.m and 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Neighbors say during that time they are kept awake from excessive noise from both the club and vehicle stereos.

They also say they've heard gun shots, seen fights, and found drug paraphernalia and various alcohol bottles scattered throughout the neighborhood.

Some even say they have woken up Sunday morning to find their yards and homes vandalized.

Steve Kennedy is one of those concerned neighbors.

He has shot video outside the Casino Starlite late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

It shows large crowds outside the night club, and police breaking up fights.

Monday, Kennedy is going to speak at the City Council meeting about neighbors concerns.

He has gotten 63 signatures on a petition supporting him.

Kennedy says he doesn't want to shut down the business or keep it from serving alcohol.

But he would like to see its night club license revoked, so that the Casino Starlite would have to close by 1 a.m.

"What we're hoping more than anything is that the mayor understands that he does have the authority to not renew the night club license come December 31st," said Kennedy.

We called Don Heck, the owner of the Casino Starlite this weekend.

He could not be reached for comment.

The Quincy City Council meeting starts at 7:30 pm Monday.

KHQA will be at that meeting and will have the latest on the late news at 10pm Monday night.
