Accused of failing to register as sex offender

CANTON, MO. -- The following news release came from the Lewis County, Missouri Sheriff's Department on Friday morning, July 31:
On July 30, 2009, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office arrested Mark R. Wolf, age 38, of Canton, Mo. for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender, a Class C Felony.
Mr. Wolf has previously been arrested and convicted for failing to be in compliance with Missouri Sex Offender registration law.
This arrest occurred while members of the Sheriff's Office were completing compliance checks throughout the county of all persons required to register as a sex offender.
The Sheriff's Office currently oversees over 40 sex offenders throughout Lewis County.
Mr. Wolf is currently lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash only bond.
