HANCOCK COUNTY, ILLINOIS -- Strong storms blew through the Tri-state area earlier today.

Just South of Nauvoo, Wally and Cindy Hamma saw debris fly across their yard at around 6:30 Tuesday morning.

When they went outside after the storm, they found their new cattle barn destroyed.

Straightline winds ripped a roof off of another shed nearby.

Debris from those buildings could be found over a quarter-mile away.

The storm also ripped a large tree in half.

Winds are estimated to have been upwards of 70 miles an hour.
