Clark County, MO -- This weekend marked the the 37th annual Bluegrass Festival in Kahoka, Missouri.
Since Wednesday, Festival-goers came to reunite with old friends who share the same musical interest.
This year's musical talent included such bands as The Gary Waldrep Band of Alabama and Mark Phillips & 3rd (IIIrd) Generation Bluegrass Band out of Oklahoma.
Travelers come mostly for the jam sessions - impromptu, sometimes hours-long performances between musicians from all over the country, some of them with nothing in common but the music.
Some of the events included a clogging contest, The Fiddlers Frolic, Miss Kahoka Bluegrass, and a youth talent contest.
Erma Spray and her late husband Delbert loved bluegrass music so much, they started this festival in 1972.
The Bluegrass Festival is held at the Clark County Fairgrounds, and is co-hosted by The Tri-State Bluegrass Association.
