STANLEY, IOWA (AP) -- At least two tornadoes touched down in northeast Iowa, but officials say only minor damage is being reported.

Tornadoes were reported late Wednesday afternoon northwest of West Union and near Stanley, near the Fayette and Buchanan County line.

Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike McCloud says a barn roof was reported blown off near Stanley.

He says further assessments will be done after the weather clears but so far no other damage is being reported.

Tornado warnings also were issued for Allamakee and Clayton counties but no tornadoes were spotted.
