HANNIBAL REGIONAL HOSPITAL
LIMITS VISITOR AND VENDOR ACCESS DUE TO INFLUENZA
Hannibal, MO - In response to the increased prevalence of Influenza like illness and H1N1 Influenza cases being treated at Hannibal Regional Hospital and in the community, the hospital will be limiting visitors. Community members are asked to stay home if experiencing flu like symptoms and not visit friends and family that are in the hospital. Immediate family members over the age of 18 are asked to only visit patients when necessary.
“These precautions will assist in minimizing exposure of influenza to visitors and team members at the hospital and assist in containing infected patients,” stated Keith Griffeth, Infection Preventionist. “Hannibal Regional Hospital’s goal is to keep area residents as healthy as possible during this pandemic.”
Hannibal Regional Hospital is also limiting visits from vendors and sales representatives. All vendors and sales representatives must be coordinated through the hospital’s Materials Management department.
