(Macomb, Ill.) The Samaritan Well homeless shelters in Macomb currently house six families and those families are no longer in jeopardy of being back on the streets.
A few weeks ago we told you how the two Samaritan Well homeless shelters were in danger of shutting down.
We found out the state comptroller had issued a payment for the homes, but the shelters did not know when they would receive that check.
KHQA found out today that money came last week.
We got more information on those funds for this KHQA factfinder report.
Samaritan Well received about $43,000 Wednesday, October 28th.
That's about two-thirds of what it normally receive from the state.
We were told theres no word on when the next payment will come, but staff is hoping for sometime in December.
That money helps pay for staffing, utilities, insurance and everything else that keeps the program going.
