HANNIBAL, Missouri- These days many americans seem to be more concerned about their health and staying healthy.
But with busy schedules, it gets hard to make time to work out like we should.
For people in Hannibal, a new business wants to take the stress out of that problem for you.
In this week's It's Your Business report, KHQA's Stephen Johnson takes you to a 24 hour 7 day a week gym that just may be the answer you're looking for.
Hannibal has a new place for you to get fit and stay healthy.
Anytime Fitness is located in the Huck Finn Shopping Center at 4700 McMasters Ave.
This state of the art facility features a full range of top of the line Nautilus workout machines.
There is also a fully stocked weight area with a full range of dumbbell and barbell weights.
Manager Charise Roberts says that if you are new to fitness, don't worry, they have people that can get you started on the right foot.
She says, " Every single one of our members actually gets a a free orientation with our personal trainer. We walk every customer through every machine at our gym."
There's also a full range of cardio equipment including treadmills and elliptical machines.
You can also tan in one of their two tanning beds.
To maintain security the building is under 24 hour surveillance and members carry portable alerts they can use to contact police immediately.
But that's not all.
Charise says that she watch what's happening at the gym from her home anytime she wants to.
Roberts says that since opening less than 3 months ago...the busiest time seems to be around 2am.
She says, " Since we are open 24/7 there are people that want to come in that work late hours at the hospital such as doctors or we might have nurses.
We also have a lot of housewives that need to get out during the daytime because the kids are in school. We do have a wide variety of people. That's what Anytime Fitness is all about."
Throughout the month of November anyone who joins and donates at least 5 lbs of non-perishable food items will get to tan for free.
All the food collected will go to the Douglass Community Center to help Hannibal's needy during this holiday season.
