Some roads could be closed due to potential flash flooding

The following is a press release from MoDOT:

MoDOT is watching several roads in the Northeast area of Missouri that could be closed due to potential flash flooding.

The following roads are closed due to flooding:

  • Clark County, Route D at Wyaconda River approximately 2 miles west of Route 81
  • Knox County, Route K at Middle Fabius River just west of Colony
  • Lewis County, Route E at North Fabius River almost 2.5 miles west of Williamstown
  • Monroe County, Route A at Crooked Creek located between Route WW
  • Monroe County, DD just south of Lentner and Route J at Middle Fork Salt River at Duncans Bridge
  • Shelby County, Route DD at Otter Creek near Maud
  • Shelby County, Route N at North Fork Salt River located 3 miles south of Route K just north of Lentner
  • Shelby County, Route K at Black Creek approximately 1.1 miles west of Shelbyville

All closures can be found online at the MoDOT website on the traveler information map. 

Since waters rise and fall quickly during flash flooding, it is recommended motorists check the website or call 1-888-275-6636 for the latest information after hours and on weekends.
