(Quincy, Ill.)  QUINCY, ILL. -- Prescription costs for Medicare Part D recipients will go up in 2010.

The increase in costs will vary based on what plan you qualify for.

But the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center wants to help you find the most cost effective plan.

Open enrollment for Medicare Part D started November 15th and runs through December 31st.

During Medicare Part D blitz's, workers at the senior center will put your prescriptions into the medicare website and find the best plan for you.

That's a big help when you consider that there are 46 prescription drug plans available.

"The reason we suggest that is because this year where the plan was most fitting, each year the medicare part D plans have a change to change their premiums, their deductibles and the drugs they cover. So while it was a good plan for them this year, in 2010 it might not be," said Director of Information and Assistance at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center Meg Woods.

Contact the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center at (217) 223-5700 to schedule an appointment to find out what plan is best for you.
