QUINCY, ILL. -- Blessing Hospital is offering you an alternative to the emergency room when it comes to dealing your minor medical needs.
It's called Blessing FastCare and its located inside Shopko in Quincy.
Although the service opened in February, it had its official grand opening and ribbon cutting Saturday morning.
Since opening the single exam room at Blessing FastCare has averaged about 30 patients a day.
Over the year's Blessing Hospital has seen an increased need for this kind of service especially when it comes to emergency room visits.
In the next few weeks the work will begin on an expansion which will include a second exam room and a waiting room.
