BURLINGTON, IOWA (AP) -- A Burlington man faces charges after police say he sold marijuana from the same home where his wife runs a day care center.
Thirty-one-year-old Stanley Nichols is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and child endangerment. Officials say he sold marijuana from the same home where his wife, Brenda Wendland, has a day care.
Authorities say they found scales and about 77 grams of what they believed to be pot in a search of the house.
They also say Nichols told them he sometimes looks after the children at the day care when his wife is gone. Wendland, his wife, has not been charged.
Roger Munns is with the Department of Human Services. He says the day care didn't show up as a DHS-licensed center after a search of the department's database.
