Late harvest makes for tricky river traffic

The harvest here in the Tri-States could be one for the record books - not because of extremely high or low yields, but because it's taking so long to finish.   A rainy and wet 2009 forced late planting and an even later harvest. Now that combined with stalled river traffic is making for a difficult time for local grain dealers and barge operators. They say we could be in store for a high-stress spring in agriculture.
