ILLINOIS -- Pension reform is still a hot topic in Illinois.

On Tuesday, Governor Pat Quinn called for a one day pension reform session with the goal of considering any new or pending legislation that applys to pension reform in the state.

In the release from the governor's office, the state's ongoing crisis is described as an " unprecedented pension crisis that, unchecked, compromises the State’s credit rating and threatens the continued delivery of vital programs and services including education, public safety and human services".
