The Arthritis Foundation of Quincy hosted it's annual Impact Arthritis event at John Wood today.
The day long seminar features several speakers addressing many of the issues surrounding arthritis including common forms of arthritis,  pain management and the benefits of therapeutic massage.
25 other health agencies also had booths set up at the event to give people an idea of some of the service available in the area.
One of the things that people learn about are the common misconceptions many people have about the condition.
Many people are not aware that there are hundreds of forms of arthritis.
Also many people assume that it only affects older people.
Actually arthritis can affect any age group....even children.
If you have questions about arthritis you can contact the Arthritis Foundation here in Quincy at (217) 228-3208
They can answer your questions and direct you the help you need.
