Run for the Cross will benefit Back to School Help Fair

Night-time race, fun run/walk in Quincy

QUINCY, ILL. -- The Heartland Road Runners/Walkers Club is sponsoring the Run for the Cross on Friday, August 7 in South Park, 12th and Harrison in Quincy.

It's a night-time race.

Registration begins at 7:30 p.m; start time is 8:30 p.m.

Proceeds go to the Back to School Help Fair on August 15 at First Baptist Church in Quincy.

Donations of clean running or walking shoes in children's and adult sizes, school supplies, new socks and underwear, and money will be accepted at the event.

Registration cost by August 1 is $15 for individuals, $35 for families of up to four; registration costs increase to $20 for individuals, $45 after August 1.
