(Ft. Madison, Ia.) Wednesday, September 9th was the start of the 62nd Tri-State Rodeo in Ft Madison.
Things were still getting set up this afternoon, but Grand Marshall for the parade Mary Lou Roberts said this year may be the best rodeo ever.
Roberts said there will be entertainment Thursday night through Saturday night.
She told KHQA some top cowboys will be competing and there is 337 contestants.
People can walk up and buy tickets any day, but she recommends coming early to avoid lines.
The parade starts at 9:30 Saturday morning, which is the last day of the rodeo.
"We just are having great weather here in Ft. Madison. The ticket sales are going really good. We expect a lot of walk up sales. It is just an extremely great event here in Ft. Madison and if you've never been to the Tri-State rodeo you just cannot imagine what you've missed," said Roberts.
Wednesday at the Rodeo was Tough Enough to Be Pink night for Breast Cancer Awareness.
