Here are some notes as you head out to work this week.
You'll recall MoDOT is adding two new lanes of highway from Monroe City to Macon on Route 36.
Weather permitting, beginning Monday, crews will begin preparing for paving operations near Shelbina for the new westbound lanes north of the existing highway.
That means the westbound on and off ramps at the Shelbina exit off of Route 36 onto Route 15 will be closed.
Drivers heading west will be directed to take the first exit at Business Route 36 at the east side of Shelbina to access Route 15 north and south.
Motorists traveling on Route 15 to westbound Route 36 will need to exit Shelbina using Business Route 36.
The closure is expected to last up to two months.
Meanwhile, pavement repair operations will begin on Route 36 in Macon County on Monday, September 14, and continue through Thursday, September 24th.
The work will take place from 7 to 4 p.m. each day.
During the project, a section of the route will be restricted to one lane beginning at Route 63 at Macon and will continue east to end at Route K North.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling near these work zones.
