MT. STERLING, IL -- A Brown County jury has found a Mt. Sterling man not guilty of aggravated criminal sexual assault.

Ricky Herr was accused of attacking a woman in an alley this past June.

The defense presented 11 witnesses that stated that they heard no screaming the night it supposedly happened and saw no one getting attacked.

If convicted, Herr faced anywhere between 6 to 30 years in prison and having to register as a sex offender.

Herr was, however, found guilty of delivering alcohol to a minor, battery and unlawful restraint.
