(New London, Mo.)  Ralls County held a flu clinic Tuesday, October 6th to offer flu shots to its residents.

We spoke with Hannibal Emergency Management Director John Hark.

He says it is hard to get the word out to people about flu shots in rural communities.

But it is just as important for people in those areas to get the vaccine to help prevent the spread of  flu to areas they may travel.

Hark also told KHQA the county is ready to have a clinic for the H1N1 virus, they are just waiting for the vaccines which aren't expected to come to Missouri until next week.
