(AP) -- HANNIBAL, Mo. - A bankruptcy judge has approved a $710,000 bid for the purchase of Rockcliffe Mansion in Mark Twain's hometown of Hannibal.

The Hannibal Courier-Post reports the bid from James and Robin Gillette of Fountain, Fla., was approved Monday for the 13,500-square-foot mansion. The couple is also interested in buying the closed Hannibal amusement park Sawyer's Creek.

The Gillettes have not stated specific plans for Rockcliffe Mansion, built by lumber baron J.J. Cruikshank between 1889 and 1900.
