If you're not in the holiday spirit yet, this may push you there.

The Quincy Salvation Army kicked off its Christmas Campaign Friday afternoon at the Quincy Mall with the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

This year's campaign co-chairs are Ginny and Michael Gully, and the campaign goal is $350,000

The Gullys say they know the economy is bad, but they have full faith in this community that the goal will be reached.

"There's a lot of people in the Quincy area that are blessed. The other challenge will be there are more with needs because of the economic climate nationwide, and in this area," says Michael Gully.

The campaign got off to a great start with an anonymous donation of $50,000

Red kettles will be out through December 24th.
