Pope John Paul the second is what some call on the "fast track" to becoming a saint.
The Pontiff died in April of 2005.
A month later, his predecessor took the first step to making John Paul a saint.
There are three stages that have to be taken to become a saint.
The first, basically puts a name into the process.
The second is Beatification.
That means there must be proof a miracle has happened through the process.
The final stage is Canonization.
This step proves another miracle has happened since the Beatification.
"I think he had a tremendous impact on the world. Not just on the Catholic Church, but the global world. He traveled more than any other pontiff. To prove miracles, it probably won't be that difficult," says Father Mike Kuse.
Father Kuse also told KHQAÂ another priest is in the process of becoming a saint.
That is Father Michael McGiveny, the man who started the Knights of Columbus organization.
Father Kuse says, both Father McGiveny and Pope John Paul the Second will probably become a saint in well under five years.
