HANNIBAL, MO -- A 28 year old Hannibal man faces several charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer and then a nurse.
Late Sunday night, police say they found James Hall sitting on a curb in the 800 block of Broadway intoxicated and with a head injury.
Officers took him to the police station.
While waiting, Hall allegedly became belligerent and when offered medical assistance for his injury he refused, stood up and head butted an officer.
EMS was called to transport him to the hospital for a confinement evaluation.
During the examination, Hall apparently kicked an attending nurse, hitting her in the face and neck causing her to fall against a wall.
