QUINCY, IL -- A local church still needs donations to send to Haiti.

You'll recall Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy has been accepting donations for the past several weeks. Here's a look at some of those donations received so far.

The church already has shipped hundreds of thousands of pounds of supplies to the Caribbean nation.

Missionaries serving in Haiti have re-evaluated what the country needs at this time.

Tents are badly needed, not to mention tarps, linens and cash donations.

Mark Dedert said, "We collected 40,000 pounds of supplies and materials so far. That sounds like a lot but not when you're feeding an extra 500 people every day."

Mark Dedert with Madison Park Christian Church says donations can be dropped off at the church any time between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Here's a list of what's needed: tents, food (rice and beans mostly), water, tarps, mats, linens, pillows, very large padlocks for containers, tin, nails, hammers, saws, extension cords, power strips, empty small film containers to distribute medicine (or any small container that can be used for this purpose).
