QUINCY, ILL -- Transitions is asking everyone to tie a blue ribbon to your car.

April is Child abuse and prevention month and today Transitions kick off the blue bow campaign in Adams County.

Transitions of Western Illinois wants you to increase your awareness of child abuse and the need for prevention.

This year 239 blue ribbons representing children abused and neglected are outside of transitions in 2009.

That's more then 70 less than last year.

Along with the blue ribbons on the front lawn on transitions.

Bill Awerkamp built a nice blue and silver pinwheel which is the symbol of the Blue Bow Campaign.
