QUINCY, ILL. --
The Quincy Salvation Army will begin distributing fans, through the Fan Loan Program, on Tuesday, June 1 to individuals and families who have no air-conditioning or fan.

The Salvation Army has a very limited supply of fans and air-conditioners.  Due to the limited supply, The Salvation Army is requesting a doctor’s note stating that an air-conditioner is needed for medical reasons.  Individuals only need to bring an ID to receive a fan.  If individuals received a fan or air-conditioner last year and did not return it, they are not eligible to receive one this year.  The fan or air-conditioning unit must be returned to The Salvation Army by September 30.

Donations of new or like-new fans and air-conditioners, or funds to purchase fans, may be sent or taken to The Salvation Army at 732 Hampshire Street in Quincy.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For more information about the Fan Loan Program, contact The Salvation Army at (217) 222-2087.
