QUINCY, ILL -- We got a sneak peak at the new Gene Simon Family Cottage on the campus of Chaddock.
The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the business before hours event at the cottage.
Folks were given a grand tour of the cottage and new green features it offers.
It will house kids from the ages of 8 to 16.
Most of the kids will be there for about 18 months and their parents get to come visit every 8 weeks.
There are therapy rooms, a kitchen, living room and bedrooms in each wing.
Support for Chaddock and the kids they serve helped make this project a reality.
Just the landscaping work needs to be done outside and the play area.
The kids get to move in on Monday June 7, 2010.
