Bowling Green robbery update

The man who robbed the U.S. Bank in Bowling Green Thursday is still on the loose, and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say they're looking for a white man between 25 and 30 who's about five foot ten and weighs about 130 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a blue New York Yankees ball cap, a white-collared shirt and black pants.

The Bowling Green Police Department told KHQA the department is chasing many leads, including one out of Quincy.

KHQA also told you Thursday night of a bank robbery in Florissant, Missouri two hours after the one in Bowling Green.

Captain Oenning told us the FBI has determined these two bank robberies were not related.

Police Chief Steve Kruse says the robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money and started walking toward the town square after robbing the bank shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses say he walked into the bank and handed a note to a teller announcing the robbery.

He told the teller he had a weapon, but none was ever shown.
