QUINCY, ILL. -- Hundreds of people gathered at the Ambiance in Quincy Sunday evening for a benefit for John and Shawna Mitchell who are expecting conjoined twin sons. People donated cash, checks, and their prayers for the family.

"We were blown away by the turnout.  We thought maybe around 400, but we ended up needing to open up the other side of The Ambiance which was awesome... To see people filling up both sides was overwhelming.  We definitely felt loved and encouraged to see not only our family and friends, but people we didn't even know  that wanted to come and support... There was a lot to do to set up for the night and we ended up having tons of help to make things go smoothly.  The best part of the day was seeing so many people serve our God and then to share in worshipping Him together, which was the whole reason for the night," said expectant mother Shawna Mitchell.
