KEOKUK, IOWA -- A deal is in the works for the city of Keokuk to buy the old train depot...for one dollar.

Keokuk would own or lease only the building and the hillside behind it...most of the land would still be owned by the railroad.

One of the biggest problems with the depot is a leaky roof which the city would have to fix.

The city council will discuss this idea at next week's meeting.
