QUINCY, ILL. -- Update: Quincy's Assistant Fire Chief Keith Frank says four people were taken to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries after a school bus accident at 11th and Broadway Wednesday morning. The accident occured just before 10:00 a.m.

Nine people were on the bus at the time including the bus driver. Three students and the driver of the other car were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The names of those people involved are not being released at this time.

Assistant Chief Frank says parents arrived on scene to pick up their students, while choosing to refuse or accept medical help.

Traffic was blocked from 10th to 11th Street on Broadway for about an hour while crews cleared debris. Three units with the Quincy Fire Dept., four ambulances from Adams County and several squad cars were on site.
