Man accused of telephone bomb threats at WIU remains in custody
PEORIA, ILL. -- The man accused of making bomb threats at WIU will stay in custody of the US Marshal's office.
Cameron McKoy appeared at a detention hearing in Peoria on Monday.
McKoy was appointed a federal public defender, and waived the preliminary hearing scheduled at the same time as the detention hearing.
The judge determined McKoy was a danger to the community because of telephoned threats made after his October arrest and was remanded to the custody of the US Marshal's office.
The case now goes before a grand jury.
