QUINCY, IL -- A Hannibal company wants to build a new barge dock on the Quincy riverfront.

S-Leigh Land LLC has plans to build a private dock at the old Celotex paper mill plant location.

There are no plans to build any permanent structures on the 30 acre area.

The dock itself would be located in the 100-year flood plain.

The U-S Army Corps of Engineers is taking public input on the plan until December 28th.

Comments concerning the Corps permit should be addressed to the District Engineer, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District,

ATTN: OD-P (Wayne Hannel), Clock Tower Building, Post Office Box 2004, Rock Island, IL 61204-2004.

Or you can call Wayne Hannel at 309-794-5378.
